WBFS issue

Jan 1, 2010 at 7:31 AM

I bought a new western digital 1tb hdd for my sisters wii...I went to clone it as usual with WBSF manager.

WBSF manager said it was all good clone done....so thought yay....hooked it up to the wii.....NOTHING...NOTHING at all

So scrubbed the hdd...reformatted it and started again this time I couldn't get any games to copy over I got "this game is already on the WBSF hard drive"

...how can this be possbile if the hdd has been reformatted?

As far as I was aware that if you reformat the hdd you lose everything?  Apparently this is not the case!

This has been driving me nuts for 3 days...I have reformatted through windows, done it as a fat, ntfs and WBSF still have the same problem....even if i try and put the games on through the ISO i have saved on my pc same thing happens.

Did you format it Fat32 right out of the box and then Wbfs? Try that and uncheck quick format.

1. use some drive that smaller then 1T

2. Use WBFS manager to format your harddrive, no partition on your drive
