I accidentally formatted my WBFS drive because when I had my hdd plugged in, it said that my drive was WBFS drive was W: and my NTFS drive was J:. I had to restart and then the drives swapped letters itself. I did backup my NTFS drive, because I had a few corrupt files on there. BUT NOT MY WII GAMES. Is there any software or recovery program which is able to recover and find WBFS drive games????????????
I have not written anything back to the hard drive.

Thank You

Don't panic!

My younger brother once plugged the non-Wii USB HDD into Wii, and let the Wii formatted the hard drive. I used Active @ Partition Recovery for Windows to save the hard drive.

No data lost!

I had wii backup games on the extern hdd before vista formatted it. it wasn't a ntfs format disk. but a wbfs format disk.

it is more special case now. I stopped using WBFS partition since I want to avoid these accidents. I am using WBFS folder in FAT32 partition where the games are in extension .wbfs. It is safer I suppose.

You can use Wii Backup Manager. There is an option "WBFS recovery" which to recover games when accidentally format WBFS.

I never tried it personally. Hope it will work.

Could you send my your setup of Wii Back manager or a link where i can download a newer version perhaps.

I found the newer version that has the recovery option thanks Lightdra for your help

lightdra: It doesn't work for me as my hard drive resetted it to one whole drive which doesn't show up in My Computer. I am going to format it and try to download the games again. THANKS. I will use this software in the future if I have any trouble
