How can I get my 80gb iPod Classic WBFS Formatted?

Sep 6, 2009 at 10:12 AM

I understand that there are issues as the iPod has some crazy block size, but I am desperate to get my iPod to work on the Wii. My iPod is already broken (damaged screen and headphone jack) so don't mind if I lose the iPod functionality and just use it as an external HDD.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried putting the iPod into disk mode then formatting it? I'm not sure if WBFS manager will format it for you, but try this:

Put it into disk mode (Google how to do this, it's really simple just need to hold a few buttons down..but it differs between iPod models, and when it's done the screen will say disk mode)

Anyway once it's in disk mode open usb loader GX on your wii and see if it will format your iPod to wbfs, if it does then go ahead with it, unplug it, put it in disk mode again then plug it in your PC and try WBFS manager to transfer some games. I'm not sure if you have to put it in disk mode everytime you wanna use it, and also make sure iTunes doesn't auto run when you plug it in
